Current projectsSheltered berth inside a little gulf
This simple conception type of docking, consisting of two wharf-barriers positioned at the inlet entrance
in a slightly crossed way, is without doubt the less intrusive for the environment, the most safe and the most
practical for pleasure boaters that in case of rough sea should like to find a near refuge without being obliged
to navigate till to the more comfortable planned tourist harbour venturing not to reach it . It’s also the less
expensive and the most suitable because it needs only few structures, even furnishing a very good protection
in case of rough sea. In the proposed example, approximately to scale 1:1000 on the A/3 design, the two piers
are respectively: the first 120 metres long and the second 80 m., both have 24 m. wideness; moreover they must
be added two of about 25 m. long cement piers near the shore. They allows the mooring of about 40 boats along
the wharf-barriers inner side and the berthing of about the same number in the inlet, for a total of about 80 units.
The overall cost of this kind of intermediate berthing has been estimated at about 6,7/Millions of Euro after-VAT,
but without considering all the "additional costs" pertinent to designing, patents, notarial acts, publicity and transports.
Small sheltered berthing area provided with a double-entry This kind of wet dock has the characteristics of a double entry little harbour. Its open sea turned part
is formed by two floating metal barrier segments, not invasive for marine environment, whereas the
mainland turned portion is composed of two lateral reinforced concrete "arms" based on a pilework
and sheltered by breakwaters. The composing elements' respective dimensions are:
a) - n.2 external floating metal barriers, about 120 metres long, 24 m. broad and 14 m. high of which 6 m.are the always submerged share from which they depart some metal frames fitted with hydrodynamic passive
resistance panels, additional floats and elastic anchorage systems connected with their "dead-bodies";
Double-entry little harbour with equipped docks This kind of equipped berthing, just like the previous model, has the open sea turned part formed
by two floating metal barrier segments not invasive for the marine environment, whereas the mainland
turned portion is composed whether by two lateral reinforced concrete "arms" sheltered by breakwaters
or by a cement central pier, all based on a pilework. The composing elements' respective dimensions are:
a) - n.2 modules of external floating barrier, about 220 m. long, 30 m. broad and 14 m. high of which 6 m.
are the always submerged share as in the previous model explained;
b) - n.2 reinforced concrete lateral dykes with wharfs, about 150 metres long, 24 m. broad overall and
gradually from 2 to 20 metres high, included the always immersed share;
c) - n.1 differentiated shape cncrete central pier, about 130 m. long, from 30 to 80 m. broad and gradually
from 2 to 14 m. high including the dipped portion;
d) - n.1 control and direction building endowed with lighthouse and offering tourist facilities.
This little harbour could offer altogether about 180 different size boat places of which: n.120 little, that is
till to 10 m. long; n.40 medium-large, that is till to 30 m. long and n.20 large, that is till to 45-50 m. long
(on the whole equivalent to 320 little size b.p.). Moreover, along the inner side of floating barriers' piers,
on the superelevated share, it's possible to realize saleable real estate areas 7 m. high (double deck)
and 9 m. wide; whereas along the lateral dykes' inner sides we can obtain others, them also 7 m. high
(d.d.) but only 7 m. wide for 11,120 square metres overall. The total cost of above illustrated works,
basic technological plants and "additional expenses" previously mentioned included, it's expected
could amount at about 32,2/Millions of Euro after-VAT.
Medium-size tourist harbour endowed with double-entry This model of little harbour, given its peculiar shaping, can be considered a real and interesting novelty
because of its more handy, modern and economical solutions. Its open sea turned part is formed by three
floating metallic barrier segments not invasive for marine environment, whereas the mainland turned
portion is composed whether by two lateral reinforced concrete "arms" sheltered by breakwaters or
by a cement central pier, all based on a pilework. The composing elements' respective dimensions are:
a) - n.3 modules of floating external barrier, about 210 metres long, 30 m. broad and 16 m. high of which 8 m.
are the always submerged share as in previous models explained;
b) - n.2 lateral reinforced concrete dykes with wharfs, about 290 m. long, 28 m. total broad and gradually
from 2 to 22 m. high included the always dipped share;
c) - n.1 differentiated shape concrete central pier, about 230 m. long, 40 m. broad and gradually from 2 to 16 high;
d) - n.1 control and direction building endowed with lighthouse and offering tourist facilities.
This little harbour could offer altogether about 320 different size boat places of which: n.260 little, that is
till to 10 m. long; n.40 medium-large, that is till to 30 m. long and n.20 large, that is till to 65-70 m. long
(on the whole equivalent to 420 little size b.p.). Moreover, along the inner side of all external floating
barriers and lateral dykes' wharfs, on the superelevated share, it's possible to realize saleable real estate
areas 7 m. high (double deck) and 9 m. wide for 14,760 square metres overall. The total cost of above
illustrated works, basic technological plants and "additional expenses" previously mentioned included,
it's expected could amount at about 67/Millions of Euro after-VAT.Home Page
