PRELIMINARY STATEMENT

All the below indicated costs must be considered approximated and in the "definite project" session they could be subjected
to more or less 10-15% variations in correlation with every specifically examined component.
First of all it's necessary to start from a well defined project with regard to the kind of utilization we intend to pursue and
for what concerns its dimensions and its location , that is in coastal shallow water and in sheltered environment or in open
sea with deep water.
Afterwards it must be considered if its positioning falls into Territorial Waters or Contiguous Zone for what regards the
achievement of construction needed permissions from competentLocal or Governmental Authorities,
along the line of that granted to oil industries for the off-shore hydrocarboons extraction.
At least, it's necessary to assure oneself, through correct practise and opportune personal acquaintances, the non hostility
of riparian Countries in whose proximity it should be placedthe floating artificial island.
At present they don't exist any Law or International Treaties universally recognized that govern with jurisprudence
certainty this environment on this specific matter.

SMALL FLOATING ISLAND FOR "PRIVATE" UTILIZATION

1) - this island is constituted by a marine platform having an overall octagonan shape measurig a “diameter”
of about 350 metres, with a square central platform and two little ports for the boats and yacths mooring,
they also are squared with sides 100 metres long . The docks entrance are sheltered by two external barrier
revolving segments which can be closed in case of very rough sea.
The platform total height, excluded the stabilizing elements, is about 24 metres, whose 16 constitute the
emerging sea level portion.This model, unlike those initially indicated for which the costs had been calculated
only for the essential “base” structures, must be considered as inclusive of all the principalcomponents,excluded
furnitures and some particular service equipments, but included the six floors central directional building and its
overhanging control tower with lighthouse, like visible on the isle design.
The overall expenses for this type of “small” islands, generally installable on deep seas till to 90-100 metres, in
practise “ready for operation”, but only for all its major structures andexcept particular requirements of ulterior

superstructures, they may be deemed about 180/Millions of €uro.

2) - SMALL "PRIVATE" ISLAND HAVING A RECTANGULAR SHAPE
AND INSTALLABLE IN SHELTERED PLACES OR FIORDS
ITS DIMENSIONS ARE: LENGTH = 330 METRES, WIDTH = 240 METRES.
ITS OVERALL ENCUMBRANCE AREA IS EQUAL TO 80,000 SQ.M. AND IT
HAS AN HARBOUR SHIELDED BY TWO BARRIER'S REVOLVING SEGMENTS.
IT'S ALSO ALBLE TO ACCOMODATE SOME YACHTS 50 METRES LONG.
ITS TOTAL SUPPOSED COSTS ARE ABOUT 148/MILLIONS of €uro.

3) - SMALL "PRIVATE" ISLAND SIMILAR TO PREVIOUS MODEL
BUT HAVING TWO SHIELDED HARBOURS
ITS DIMENSIONS ARE: LENGTH = 440 METRES, WIDTH = 240 METRES.
ITS OVERALL ENCUMBRANCE AREA IS EQUAL TO 108,000 SQ.M.,
IT'S ALSO ABLE TO ACCOMODATE SOME YACTHS 100 METRES LONG.
ITS TOTAL SUPPOSED COSTS ARE ABOUT 167/MILLIONS €uro.

4) - SMALL-MEDIUM SIZE "PRIVATE" TOURIST ISLAND HAVING AN HEXAGONAL
SHAPE AND INSTALLABLE ALSO ON 1,000 METRES OR MORE DEEP WATER SEAS
ITS DIMENSIONS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF A ROUND MODEL HAVING
A DIAMETER 600 METRES LONG AND WITH AN OVERALL ENCUMBRANCE
AREA EQUAL TO 266,000 SQ.M.. IT HAS A SHIELDED HARBOUR WHICH IS
ALSO ABLE TO ACCOMODATE SOME YACTHS TILL TO 50-60 METRES LONG.
ITS TOTAL "BASE" SUPPOSED COSTS ARE ABOUT 470/MILLIONS €uro.

5) - MEDIUM-SIZE ISLAND HAVING AN OCTAGONAL SHAPE AND INSTALLABLE
ALSO ON 1,000 METRES OR MORE DEEP WATER SEAS
ITS DIMENSIONS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF A ROUND MODEL HAVING A DIAMETER
840 METRES LONG AND WITH AN OVERALL ENCUMBRANCE AREA EQUAL TO 560.000
SQ.M.. THE VARIOUS HULLS FORMING THE ISLAND ARE ABOUT 30 METRES HIGH
WHOSE 30% MUST BE CONSIDERED AS BATHED PORTION. IT HAS FOUR SHIELDED
HARBOURS WHICH ARE ALSO ABLE TO ACCOMODATE SOME YACTHS 100
METRES OR MORE LONG. ITS TOTAL SUPPOSED BASIC COSTS ARE
ABOUT 640/MILLIONS €uro.

CALCULATION OF THE NET DISPOSABLE SURFACES ON DIFFERENT
STRUCTURES' LEVELS RELATIVE TO ABOVE ISLAND

BEARING IN MIND THAT THE FIRST OF THREE SECTOR (THE LOWEST) HAS BEEN CONSIDERED
UNAVAILABLE AT ALL BECAUSE COMPLETELY SPENT FOR ANCHORING AND FLOATING GEARS
AS WELL AS FOR GENERAL UTILITY SERVICES OR FOR VARIOUS EQUIPMENTS AND TOOLS STORES.
THE OTHER TWO SUPERIOR SECTORS BEING EACH 10 METRES HIGH CAN BE DIVIDED IN TWO LEVELS.

TOTAL GROSS AREA PERTINENT ALL HULLS AND INTERNAL OR EXTERNALPLATFORMS FORMING THE ISLAND
= 1,353,120 SQ.M.
TOTAL NET DIPOSABLE AREA RELATIVE THE ABOVE SAID = 1,353,120 SQ.M. MINUS 30% (FOR DIFFERENT
SERVICES, TRANSIT WAYS AND OTHER UNDISPOSABLE SHARE) = 947,200 SQ.M.

IT'S USEFUL AND IMPORTANT CONSIDERING THAT ABOUT THE 70% ISLAND'S NET SURFACES, AVAILABLE
ON THE PLATFORMS' TOP GROUND LEVEL, THAT IS ABOUT 159,600 SQ.M.(70% OF 228,000 SQ.M.) CAN BE
ESTIMATED LIKE BUILDING AREA - TILL TO FIVE OR SIX STOREYS -FOR FUTURE RESIDENTIAL,
GARDENING, TOURISTIC AND SPORTING INSTALLATIONS TO OBTAIN A BIGGER AND MORE RATIONAL,
ECONOMIC AND COMMERCIAL ISLE'S EXPLOITATIONIT'S USEFUL AND IMPORTANT CONSIDERING
THAT ABOUT THE 70% ISLAND'S NET SURFACES.
